Simix Technical Data and Laboratory Tests

Situ Biosciences Microbial Product Test Laboratory shows Simix removes coronavirus and norovirus
Laboratory tests show Simix powder removes 99.9% of coronavirus and 99.7% of norovirus
A new study done by Situ Biosciences Microbial Product Test Laboratory shows that Simix Cleaner / Degreaser / Sanitizer removes 99.9% of coronavirus and 99.7% of norovirus from non-porous surfaces.

In the newly released study, glazed ceramic tiles were coated with Simix Ceramic Coatings, then contaminated with coronavirus FIPV-1146, P20 (VR 2126) and norovirus surrogate Feline Calicivirus (F-9). Then the surfaces were sprayed with Simix Cleaner/Degreaser/Sanitizer, wiped once, then sprayed and wiped once more after a ten minute interval.

In all the tests on Simix-coated surfaces, Simix Cleaner / Degreaser / Sanitizer removed more than 99% of the viruses.

Simix Cleaner / Degreaser / Sanitizer was also used on a glazed tile that had not been coated with a Simix Ceramic Coating, and the surface proved to be more than 99% effective in removing coronavirus and norovirus.
Essex Testing Clinical Safety Evaluation of Simix Powder
Test of Simix powder on skin shows no irritation
Tests of Simix powder (known as Simix Laundry Detergent and Simix Cleaner / Degreaser / Sanitizer) on human subjects showed no skin irritation.

Essex Testing Clinic reports that "under conditions of a repeated insult (occlusive) patch test procedure conducted in 53 subjects, Test Article: Simix Laundry Detergent (@ 1 percent aqueous) was Dermatologist Tested and was not associated with skin irritation or allergic contact dermatitis in human subjects."

Simix is non-toxic and hypoallergenic. It contains no harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Simix Ceramic Coatings rated high traction in 'dynamic coefficient of friction' tests

The coefficient of friction measures a surface’s frictional resistance to a moving object. “Dynamic Coefficient of Friction” (DCOF) ratings are established by a tribometer.

DCOF ratings are split into three ranges between .0 and 1.0. Floors with higher DCOF ratings (above .42) are safer for customers, employees, clients and patients. Floors with lower ratings are more dangerous.

All of Simix’s Ceramic Floor Coatings are rated as high traction by ANSI standard DCOF testing using a tribometer:

  • Simix High Shine Ceramic Coating .436
  • Simix Exterior Ceramic Coating .511
  • Simix Ceramic Floor Coating .444
